TRAIN AT KUALA LIPIS

 Assalamualaikum

We like to share our feeling of sadness, and frustration, as the place which was part of growing in Kuala Lipis are no longer there. That was the symbols of Kuala Lipis.

It use to be an open air waiting areas, the school children were waiting for the train. The roof was supported by wooden pillars 12' x 12'  are all gone for good. The cateen for KTM staff are demolished.

Return to Kuala Lipis

One of the few Chinese Temple, giving a stark reminder of the multi-racial nature of the community. It is strategically located at Jelai Street,.

A view of the river, Jelai from the restaurant outlets at the Main Street. It reminded me of the raft-house or rumah rakit, which had long gone. It used to be a unique attraction of Kuala Lipis until someone close to the government sect, decided to commercialize it and built a restaurant and inn, both adventure met failure, and now the symbol had gone beyond revival.
